Introduction
Mnyuzik Junkie Entertainment is dedicated to providing a fair and transparent platform for the online distribution of music, music videos, and e-books, particularly those related to the music industry. This policy outlines the guidelines and procedures for content submission, approval, distribution, and royalty management, reflecting our commitment to maintaining the highest standards of integrity and professionalism as of April 10, 2025.
Content Eligibility and Approval Process
The policy begins with defining what content is eligible for distribution, ensuring clarity for artists and authors. The table below summarizes the eligibility criteria:
Content Type Description Format
Music Original music compositions MP3, WAV
Music Videos High-quality video content MP4
E-books Books related to music PDF, EPUB
Music: Must be original compositions, with artists required to own or have the rights to distribute, ensuring no copyright infringement.
Music Videos: Must feature original music, with artists owning rights to both audio and video, aligning with distribution to platforms like Vevo and YouTube.
E-books: Focused on music-related content, such as songbooks or theory guides, in standard e-book formats, reflecting industry practices seen in platforms like Reedys.
The approval process involves a thorough review by Mnyuzik Junkie Entertainment to ensure compliance with policies and standards. Content deemed explicit or offensive must be properly labeled, and artists must provide documentation proving ownership or licensing, as seen in policies.
Royalty Management
Royalty management is a critical aspect, with varying timelines based on content type and platform. For music and music videos, royalties are typically paid monthly, but due to fraud detection measures, especially on Spotify, there may be a delay of up to 3-4 months in approval and payment, as mentioned in user notes and supported by industry discussions (Royalties - Spotify). This delay is particularly noted for Spotify due to high fraud streams, aligning with reports on streaming fraud impacts (Why Is There So Much Fraud in Music Distribution — And How Do We Solve It? (Guest Column)).
For e-books, royalties are paid quarterly, after deduction of distribution fees and taxes, reflecting standard e-book distribution practices. Mnyuzik Junkie Entertainment will notify artists of any delays, ensuring transparency.
Fraud Prevention and Penalties
Fraud prevention is paramount, given the prevalence of bots and artificial streaming in the industry. Mnyuzik Junkie Entertainment adopts a zero-tolerance policy against the use of bots, artificial streaming services, or methods to inflate streams, views, or sales. which define fraudulent behavior and consequences.
Any content associated with such activities will be immediately removed from all distribution platforms, with artists facing account suspension or termination and potential liability for damages. This aligns with the user's note on immediate penalties and is crucial for maintaining platform integrity, as seen in discussions on music streaming fraud.
Distribution Channels
The distribution channels are tailored to each content type, ensuring wide reach. Music is distributed to major streaming platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube Music, while music videos go to YouTube, Vevo, and other video services. E-books are distributed to retailers like Amazon Kindle, Apple Books, and Google Play Books, reflecting global e-book distribution networks.
User Responsibilities
Users, including artists and authors, have specific responsibilities to ensure smooth distribution. They must provide accurate and complete metadata for their content, ensuring proper identification on platforms. They must also ensure they have all necessary rights and permissions, taking responsibility for any legal issues arising, as seen in distribution agreements.
Dispute Resolution
Disputes regarding royalties, content removal, or policy violations should be reported to Mnyuzik Junkie Entertainment's support team, who will work to resolve issues in a timely and fair manner. This mirrors practices in music distribution, ensuring user support (Contact for Queries).
Content Removal
Artists and authors may request content removal at any time by submitting a written request, with Mnyuzik Junkie Entertainment working to remove it from all platforms as soon as possible. Removal times may vary depending on platform policies, reflecting industry standards.
